So much wrong. Would you be surprised if I told you it had a salvage title? It came as absolutely no surprise to me. There are a few thousand other things I’d rather do with $8,500 including lighting the cash on fire.
I like the beige interior and that’s it. But c’mon - run a damn vacuum through it before taking pictures.

Individually, I don’t hate the bits that make up this car. But as a whole, they don’t really go together do they? And that offset vent above the grille is just hideous. Probably fake, too.

That shifter? No. The replacement for the airbag? Double no. The modifed logo? No go. And that scoop...

has that thing got an airbag or has it been removed?

Salvage title, so I think they put a metal parts bowl in the wheel instead of springing for a new ‘bag.

There was me thinking they put a dog bowl in the steering wheel, no idea why you would want something bright and shiny directly in front of you so you can be blinded by the sun

Oh for Huey’s sake...how does any one think this is a good idea?
Down here it would be a stripped shell in the wreckers yard or crushed and ripped into little rusty pieces. Either would be a better and safer outcome than this PoS.

They do have a death wish, don't they?

If anything it should have been stripped out and turned into a track-only vehicle. Doing half-assed modifications like these and not replacing standard safety equipment just makes this thing borderline worthless.

Salvage should equal never to be driven again...

I don’t really have a problem with salvage vehicles as long as the structure and safety aren’t compromised like on this monstrosity. It really doesn’t take much to total out a car for minor things, and if fixed properly it’s no big deal. A friend got hit in the rear driving his old, but very clean, E34, and the damage was completely cosmetic. Due to the age of the car the insurance company totalled it. He bought it back and fixed the crack in the bumper cover and repainted that part and it was as structurally sound as before. My E34 was almost totalled because of specks in the paint and minor chips in the windows because of it being peppered with glass shards from the windshield of the overturned Toyota van that caused a multiple car crash of which I was an innocent victim. If I didn’t get it covered by the insurance company I would have gladly bought the car back and ‘rebuilt’ it considering how relatively minor the damage was.
But the rebuild on this PoS? Hell no. What you can see is scary enough, and I’d hate to see what horrors lie under that cheap replacement skin.

I was there for original for sale ad, because it was for sale near Charleston. It’s from Harbor Freight.

Down here...if it’s an uneconomic repair and you get paid out then you can stand in line at the auction if you want it back...but it will never be able to be considered roadworthy again. No matter how minor the damage. Once it's a statutory write off...it's dead.

I don’t hate the look but the rest of it?

That looks like the least comfortable shift knob I’ve ever seen.
